About The Position

The Production Supervisor I (3rd Shift) at Pactiv Evergreen Inc. is responsible for managing and directing all activities related to a production shift. This role focuses on maximizing productivity, minimizing costs, and maintaining quality standards while supervising a team of over 50 employees. The supervisor will coordinate with scheduling to meet daily production requirements and ensure effective implementation of safety and quality initiatives.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work well in group situations
• Ability to deal effectively with conflict in a mature & consistent manner
• Good computer skills
• SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
• Supervise 50 plus employees.
• Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees.
• Plan, assign & direct work.
• Appraise performance and reward & discipline employees.
• Address complaints & resolve problems.
• Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
• Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals.
• Ensure safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary.
