About The Position

The Production Supervisor for Harvest is responsible for overseeing production processes, ensuring high quality and yield while maintaining a safe working environment. This role involves managing daily production orders, staffing, and ensuring compliance with safety and USDA standards. The supervisor will also focus on team development, communication of company policies, and continuous education on quality importance.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; education beyond high school preferred.
• 2 years of Harvest experience required.
• Basic computer skills helpful.
• Strong communication skills required.
• Supervisory experience managing personnel performing related tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high production, quality, and yields while ensuring a safe working environment.
• Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders.
• Ensure every position is filled before the start-up of the production line.
• Oversee Team Member morning exercises and job rotation to facilitate ergonomics.
• Ensure all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible.
• Ensure all workstations have passed USDA Inspection.
• Promote safety on a daily basis and through monthly safety meetings.
• Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products.
• Communicate company benefits and compensation policies to Team Members.
• Encourage Team Members to build the best team possible.
• Perform human relations functions such as training, retaining, and counseling Team Members.
• Oversee various processing operations and collaborate with other supervisors to solve problems.
• Keep records of reworked or returned products.
• Provide continuous education on the importance of quality.
