About The Position

The primary objectives will be to achieve results on the High 5 metrics (safety, quality, on-time-delivery, inventory, productivity), drive employee engagement, and develop the team to continuously improve. A. Own and drive to engineer out safety risk throughout the owned process. B. Assist in establishing departmental goals that are challenging targets for the High 5. C. Devise strategies with documented action plans to achieve targets. D. Provide input to forecast and hold the team accountable to the process in order to meet commitments. E. Determine the effect of production load and mix changes on staffing and department operations. a. Take actions(s) to adjust capacity (labor and/or equipment) to meet new production requirements. b. Flex resources and/or product across production lines to meet production requirements. F. Follow up on the progress towards targets: 1.) Conduct periodical review of area targets. 2.) Take problem-solving countermeasures. 3.) Follow up on the results of the countermeasures. 4.)

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Minimum of 3 years of supervisory expereince in a manufacturing or operations environment
  • No relocation is being offered for this role. All candidates considered must live within 50 miles of the Fayetteville, NC facility. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Business, Engineering, or related manufacturing related discipline
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma background
  • Previous role/experience managing others in a manufacturing plant
