About The Position

Provide supervision for the activities in the assigned department; in such a fashion to support Constellium and the local facility's need to achieve defined overall goals and objectives. The shift supervisor must provide the necessary leadership to manage all aspects of a shift. This position is responsible for coordinating safety, quality, productivity and continuous improvement for their assigned crew. The jobholder must be able to effectively manage the union workforce within the boundaries of the collective bargaining agreement.

Requirements

• 5 years experience in related industrial environment, required
• Ability to initiate processes and ideas (required)
• Ability to multi-task in a face paced, evolving environment (required)

Nice To Haves

• 5 years minimum of DC casting supervisory experience, strongly preferred
• Strong management skills in a Union environment, strongly preferred
• Experience with continuous improvement, preferred
• Possession of SAP and Microsoft Excel skills, preferred

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to all safety guidelines and achieve the EHS plan for their department
• Ensure compliance to Constellium policies, procedures, and regulations
• Ensure all quality standards are met by monitoring materials and finished products for flaws and defects
• Provide leadership in Continuous Improvement in their assigned area
• Monitor machine centers and metal flow, understand inventory tracking and control
• Provide the conflict resolution necessary to ensure problems are resolved and corrective action is implemented
• Ensure each shift is staffed correctly and employees are assigned to appropriate equipment
• Deliver and track daily Toolbox Talks and monthly safety meetings
