About The Position

The Production Supervisor at Jabil Inc. is responsible for managing a high-volume manufacturing line in Memphis, TN. This role involves overseeing production activities, managing direct reports, maintaining production schedules, and ensuring adherence to quality standards. The supervisor will lead a team, implement training programs, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the production environment.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
• 3 years of experience in manufacturing management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous supervisory experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing preferred.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends based on production needs.
• Knowledge of Surface Mount Technologies (SMT) and Thru-hole equipment/gear.

• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of engineering disciplines including chemistry, mechanical, electrical, and industrial.

Responsibilities

• Direct the production activities of the subassembly group for electronics manufacturing.
• Manage 50-60 direct reports and maintain production schedules.
• Recruit, interview, and hire Process Engineers, Industrial Techs, WAVE Techs, and Machine Support Techs.
• Coach, mentor, and train department staff.
• Monitor team member turnover and identify areas for improvement.
• Create and validate training curriculum in the area of responsibility.
• Establish measurable goals and objectives for individual and team performance.
• Oversee the maintenance management program including repair parts and preventative maintenance.
• Plan activities of the technical staff and develop department reports/records.
• Supervise planning and execution of line moves and builds.
