About The Position

Position at JBS USA Production Superintendent Resume Required: Applicants will not be considered without a resume. The JBS Case Ready team is seeking a Production Superintendent to manage daily production. This role will be based in Lenoir, NC. The Superintendent will be part of a team of about 140. The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented and thrive on supporting a busy, fast-paced team. This role offers excellent growth potential!

Requirements

  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience.
  • Knowledge of USDA regulations
  • Strong diplomacy and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge and technical skill in a variety of production jobs
  • Supervisory skills; good interpersonal relations; ability to handle conflict
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with leadership skills
  • Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation

Nice To Haves

  • College coursework preferred but not required
  • 3-5 years of supervisory training experience preferred.
  • Bilingual preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Directs processing operations and personnel to meet established processing and quality control standards, to control budget and costs, and to provide data regarding types, quantities, specifications, and delivery dates of products produced
  • Establishes short-term activities directed toward processing continuity and balance such as shift schedules, ensuring requisition of materials, machine loading, grievance resolution, and equipment maintenance
  • Coordinate and integrates with other plant function areas to ensure support in attaining output, productivity, and quality
  • Selects, organizes, trains, and motivates processing labor force to ensure consistent attainment of processing schedules at optimum productivity and cost levels
  • Recommend improvements in processing flow or methods
  • Ensures effective use of operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and to improve product quality
  • Recommends modification of machines and equipment in order to improve processing and quality of products
  • Promotes a safe working environment for our employees
  • Responsible for working relations between USDA and plant personnel
  • Other duties as assigned
