About The Position

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will lead third shift production, sanitation, and maintenance activities to deliver safe, high‑quality products while meeting cost, efficiency, and compliance standards. You will develop, coach, and schedule teams to meet operational demands and partner closely with Human Resources on workforce planning, performance management, and employee relations. A Taste of Your Responsibilities Be accountable for food safety and quality across all third shift operations and facilities. Lead and mentor third shift production, maintenance, and sanitation supervisors, serving as the primary point of contact for all third shift teams. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and corporate policies, including food safety and Occupational Safety and Health Administration standards. Promote continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, cost effectiveness, and product quality. Lead third shift equipment breakdown and setup activities to support efficient production startup. Allocate labor effectively to meet or exceed company performance standards. Oversee cleanliness and sanitation of plant production areas. Ensure the workforce is properly trained on job requirements, safety practices, and quality expectations. Coordinate shift requirements with maintenance and engineering to achieve plant objectives. Support and reinforce plant safety programs and safety awareness training through front‑line supervisors. Share key performance metrics with supervisors to drive accountability and continuous improvement. Ensure timely and effective communication of critical information across shifts and levels of plant leadership. Partner with Human Resources on interviews, hiring, performance evaluations, corrective counseling, and ongoing employee development. Perform other duties as assigned. Ingredients Required for Your Success Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Biology, Industrial Management, or a related field, or equivalent work experience 4+ years of related experience or training within the food industry. Skill in reading, analyzing, and interpreting business publications, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Skill in preparing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Skill in presenting information and responding to questions from managers, customers, and other stakeholders. Skill in solving practical problems and working with multiple variables where limited standardization exists. Skill in interpreting instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical Requirements More information about essential tasks and the facility will be shared during the hiring process. This role may require you to be in our manufacturing facilities. When visiting these sites, the physical requirements below may apply: You may be required to walk around the facility, climb stairs/ladders, kneel, or perform repetitive tasks that require hand-eye coordination. You may be required to lift or carry materials that can vary in weight and size. This is a manufacturing environment with large, moving equipment. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity.
