About The Position

The Production Superintendent is responsible for overseeing day-to-day production operations within the poultry processing facility. This role ensures production targets, food safety standards, animal welfare requirements, and quality expectations are consistently met while maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment. The Superintendent leads supervisors, drives continuous improvement, and partners closely with Maintenance, QA, USDA, HR, and Safety teams.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma (GED) required.
  • Typically requires a minimum of 2 years of DIRECTLY RELATED experience.
  • Knowledge of USDA regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, both written and verbal.
  • Quick learner of Company protocols/programs and adaptable to change.
  • Reliable and ethical, with a strong work ethic and punctuality.
  • Team-oriented and self-motivated, able to thrive in fast-paced environments.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory training experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide training and create a positive work environment to help employees reach their highest potential in quality and productivity.
  • Organize manpower, materials, equipment, and production schedules to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee employee performance and offer constructive feedback, both positive and corrective.
  • Encourage open communication and employee involvement to build team morale and support company values.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify opportunities for quality improvement, cost savings, and process enhancements.
  • Ensure safety standards are followed and promote a safe working environment for all team members.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the Plant Operations Team
  • Other duties as assigned.
