About The Position

WPHL-TV, part of the Nexstar Media Group and CW Network, has an exciting opportunity for a summer internship within our live broadcasting department. This internship is an onsite position located at WPHL-TV in Philadelphia and you must be able to provide your own transportation. Candidates must be able to work 15-20 hours per work for a total of 180 hours for the program. The weekly work schedule will be determined by the student and department manager. Many of the hours worked will be during our live broadcasting and studio production hours, 5a-12p Monday through Friday. During this internship, you will also have exposure to all areas of our business, such as Sales, News, and Creative Services. Nexstar Media Group, Inc. Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in an accredited broadcasting or film program at a college, university, or technical school.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in broadcast television or a related field.
  • Experience with automated control room applications.
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with live and studio productions.
  • Assist with supporting Engineering, News, Production, Creative Services, and Sales Departments by providing quality support services.
  • Assist with ENG camera shoots.
  • Must complete 500-word summary about your intern experience.
