About The Position

Build the machines that turn methane into energy. At Qnergy, we design and build Free-Piston Stirling engines that convert wasted methane into reliable, clean power used around the world, from landfills to oil fields to remote industrial sites. We’re looking for a Production Specialist who enjoys building things that actually matter. If you like working with your hands, solving mechanical problems, and being part of a team that ships real technology into the field, this is your kind of role. You’ll work side-by-side with engineers, technicians, and production teammates to assemble and test the equipment that powers our global customers.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and comfort working with tools and equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Basic understanding of electrical or electronic components.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve assembly issues.
  • Comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, or mechanical experience preferred.
  • Standing for extended periods while assembling products.
  • Frequent use of hand tools and measuring instruments.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to distinguish colored wiring and components.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience reading technical drawings or schematics is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems from engineering drawings.
  • Read blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to build products to specification.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and production equipment to complete assemblies.
  • Assist with fabrication, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of Qnergy products.
  • Support both prototype builds and production manufacturing.
  • Perform quality checks and testing to ensure assemblies meet production standards.
  • Maintain production records, logs, and inspection documentation.
  • Perform basic equipment maintenance and identify issues early.
  • Track inventory of tools, parts, and supplies and coordinate with materials when needed.
  • Work closely with engineers, supervisors, and other production team members to improve processes.
