About The Position

The Production Specialist II visually inspects manufactured units for defects and packs and labels product according to Customer’s specifications. Ensures compliance with work instructions and standard operating procedures through training and inspection. Directs team to achieve desired results. Supports team to ensure product is produced at a high-quality level while meeting overall performance to schedule. Essential Job Functions Creates a positive, engaging work environment by promoting a culture of inclusivity and teamwork. Coordinate job set-up by ensuring table layouts and packaging components are in the most efficient set-up based on the manufacturing job. Visually inspects sheets for defects and notifies appropriate individuals immediately if any are found. Audits the quality of products at each step of the packaging process. Conducts 1st Article Quality checks after machine set up, Hourly Quality Checks and Final QV. Approve or provide required correction based on job documentation. Kits appropriate packaging materials based on BOM and Sage look up. Verifies all provided labels and supplies are appropriate based on BOM. Follow required procedures to ensure customer orders are done correctly. Ensures all documentation is completed accurately. Completes all final QV operations and ensures job was completed in projected timeframe, barring any machine or equipment issues. Monitors and trains manufacturing employees to ensure procedures are being followed and jobs are done correctly. Completes all Production Specialist I tasks as needed. Maintains the overall cleanliness of the workstation area. Communicates company direction, vision, and values to all employees within manufacturing operations. Maintains good attendance in accordance with company guidelines. Adheres to all company health and safety policies and procedures. Performs other tasks as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent training and/or experience.
  • 1+ years' experience working as a Production Lead or similar role.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but simple written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common diagram form.
  • Basic understanding of Quality methods, gauges, and procedures.
  • Medium Work - Lifting of 50 pounds maximum.

  • lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • The employee is required to wear clean room gown, rubber gloves and hair/beard covering.
