About The Position

Mission Linen Supply is currently accepting online applications for the position of Production Staff - Soil Sorter. The Production Staff play a crucial role in the industrial laundry production flow activities, working under the guidance of the Production Supervisor and/or Production Manager at the operating plant. This position is essential for maintaining the efficiency and effectiveness of the laundry operations, ensuring that all processes are carried out smoothly and in accordance with established protocols. As a Soil Sorter, you will be responsible for various tasks that include operating press equipment, processing laundry in the established lot order, and maintaining the distribution on the production floor. You will need to shake and sort items by route, laying them out prior to pressing, and classifying items for pressing, distinguishing between different types of garments such as industrial shirts and executive dress shirts. Additionally, you will be required to separate soil pick-up tickets, check for necessary repairs on items, and lift garments and/or linen onto the line storage system. The role also involves trolleying garments and/or linen for truck pick-up and loading trollies into trailers. It is imperative to ensure that all colleagues practice safety procedures at all times, and you may be assigned additional duties as needed. The Soil Sorter position offers a starting pay of $15.40 an hour, which is determined based on education, experience, and other qualifications. This role requires individuals who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and are capable of standing for long periods, as well as lifting and moving weights of up to 50 pounds regularly. The physical demands of the job include walking, talking, hearing, and using hands to handle objects, tools, or controls. Employees must also be able to reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl as necessary. The work environment is typically loud and may involve exposure to wet and/or humid conditions.
