What You'll Do:We're seeking an energetic and passionate Shipping & Production Supervisor to join our growing team in West Palm, FL! As the Shipping Supervisor you will plan, organize and supervise the delivery function of the plant ensuring timely and efficient delivery of our products. You will also manage work assignments and provide/facilitate training related to your area as well as ensuring compliance with Company policies and procedures.In this role you will work our day shift. Hours/ Days for this role will be Monday- Friday with Saturday’s as required based on production needs.How You'll Do It:• Coordinates with the Plant Manager, Plant Supervisors, Production Scheduler and other Plant personnel to attain delivery, cost and quality of service objectives• Ensure the cost effectiveness of the delivery function, including the control of labor utilization - preventing excess hours, downtime and overtime, and efficient usage of departmental equipment• Track and analyzes functional metrics; calculates estimated costs associated with the shipping/delivery function and recommends appropriate alternatives• Supervise and directs all job-related activities of Dock workers and other support staff engaged in the loading and unloading of freight while working with other Plant supervisors and/or office staff to ensure product, equipment and paperwork availability• Ensure products are loaded in adherence to approved loading patterns to prevent freight damage during transit and safe truck operations• Provide initial and on-going training and evaluation to assigned personnel related to job duties and performance expectations utilizing work method programs to motivate employees to improve performance and quality of work and raises employee performance levels through consistent feedback and ongoing coachingWhat You'll Bring:3-5 years related experience in a Lean manufacturing environment in a supervisory role.• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. • Attention to detail – ensuring correct labeling, quantities, packaging and documentation• Adaptability – adjusting to last minute order changes• Customer Mind-Set – communicating with customers or internal stakeholders regarding shipping concerns• Problem Solving – quickly resolves delays, inventory discrepancies or carrier issuesJob Factors/Work EnvironmentsUp to 10% travel. Requirements

  • 3-5 years related experience in a Lean manufacturing environment in a supervisory role.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
