The position may assume additional duties as assigned. The successful incumbent will be detail oriented, able to follow instructions well, and work well in a team atmosphere. Education / Experience / Certifications: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required

Requirements

  • Ability to read and count
  • Ability to read effectively from a paper copy
  • Ability to work within precise limits and/or standards of accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Ability to follow and understand directions
  • Ability to read a tape measure in metric and imperial standards

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to interpret, sort paper work, stamped drawing numbers in metal and color codes correctly preferred, but not required
  • Ability in decision making in choosing the correct parts that corresponds with Lead instruction
  • Ability to effectively operate a Walk-Behind lift and Tugger
  • Ability to compare and accurately determine difference in size, shape, and form of objects
  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Sort parts to appropriate racks for delivery to press brake
  • Scan and sort the parts using the barcode system
  • Separates parts from metal skeleton
  • Safely and effectively use tools such as hand tools, measuring tape, and machine equipment
  • Performs general house keeping
