About The Position

As a Production Set Up Operator, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process, ensuring that production equipment and processes are set up correctly to achieve optimal efficiency and product quality. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and operational excellence. Your primary responsibility will be to prepare and adjust machinery before production runs, including calibrating machines and installing components according to specifications. You will collaborate closely with production teams to troubleshoot any issues that arise during set up, maintaining open communication to minimize downtime and ensure a smooth workflow. Your expertise in machinery and production methods will not only help you excel in this role but will also contribute to the overall success and efficiency of our production operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Relevant vocational training or certification preferred.
  • Experience as a machine operator, preferably in a manufacturing environment prferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand technical manuals and schematics.
  • Knowledge of safety practices and regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Must be able to work overtime and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

  • Will work as a Utility Operator and Production Equipment Setup Operator
  • Set up and calibrate production equipment according to specifications prior to production runs.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on machinery to ensure proper operation.
  • Coordinate with production supervisors to align set up times with production schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify issues with machinery during the set up process to minimize downtime.
  • Document all set up procedures, maintenance, and repairs performed on equipment.
  • Train and assist new employees in understanding proper set up techniques and machinery operation.
  • Perform quality checks on initial production output to guarantee compliance with standards.
