About The Position

The Production Services Specialist is responsible for the setup, operation, removal and maintenance of all production service equipment needed for the production of concerts and events. In addition, the employee must be able to modify and reconfigure production services equipment as required by performers, or events, and engineer all technical aspects of the equipment. All duties are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives.

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment.
  • High school diploma or its equivalency required.
  • Four (4) years’ experience in the set-up, operation, removal and maintenance of any one or more of the following technical areas: audio, lighting, rigging, staging, backline and video or Hotel AV.
  • Intermediate knowledge of technical theatre and its components as well as skill sets and knowledge of theatrical equipment and principals.
  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
  • Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the casino.
  • Must be able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees and members of the business community in all situations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the load-in and load out of live bands and other entertainment.
  • Setup all audio, lighting, rigging, staging, backline and video for performances, based on event technical riders and other on-site event needs.
  • Setup video equipment and screens necessary for visual presentations and productions.
  • Coordinate sound-checks and rehearsals for live performances.
  • Responsible for troubleshooting problems with theatrical equipment including but not limited to audio, lighting, rigging, staging, backline and video.
  • Operate theatrical equipment during live shows and other events including but not limited to audio, lighting, rigging, staging, backline and video systems. Will act as a lead specialist in any one or more of those Technical areas.
  • Take direction and live cues from stage managers and/or Production Services Manager.
  • Assist bands, performers and event producers with other show related needs necessary for the successful production of an event.
  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on Production Services equipment.
  • Work independently without direct supervision.
  • Maintain a current understanding of all policy and guidelines regarding information security including the Seneca Gaming Corporation Acceptable Use Policy. Understand and comply with all information security policies and procedures at all times.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all patrons and communicate in a pleasant, friendly and professional manner at all times. Maintain a professional work environment with supervisors, managers and staff.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
  • Must complete all required SGC Training programs within nine (9) months from commencement of employment.
  • Attend all necessary meetings.
  • Duties, responsibilities, requirements and expectations pertaining to this job are subject to change as needed. Hours are determined by a 24-hour schedule.
