About The Position

The Manager of Production Services leads a team of service departments to provide environmental management, biosecurity management, logistical service, truck wash and maintenance support to the Jack Pine managed farms and shareholder assets. The Manager of Production Services is responsible for Truck wash, logistics, environmental expectations, manure pumping, composting and maintenance of the Jack Pine farms and facilities. This person communicates regularly with senior management. This person is also responsible for controlling costs on all projects and researching solutions for improving costs. The biosecurity management piece will include collaboration with the veterinary team to accomplish the highest biosecurity standards at the farms.

Requirements

Requires advanced skills in construction management and project planning.
Must have excellent oral, technology and time management skills, and effective written communication skills.
Ability to perform in highly interruptive conditions
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under frequent time pressures
Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, lift up to 50 lbs for extended periods of time
Strong planning, time management and organizational skills
Ability to positively work as a team and communicate broadly and effectively
Willingness to accept after hours trouble calls and respond as needed
A minimum of 5 years experience in the industry OR
5 years in management in AG field.
A combination of above

Nice To Haves

Ability to read blueprints/schematics preferred.
Knowledge in welding, plumbing, and electrical skills preferred.

Responsibilities

Oversee logistics.
Oversee the Environmental and facilities management.
Oversee the Maintenance Manager and projects.
Organize contractors and subcontractors with maintenance team. Provide leadership and direction of the maintenance team. (schedules, and process improvement)
Communicates regularly with farms and senior management on maintenance issues.
Oversee all functions of the truck wash business unit including employees, budgets and production.
Assists the management team in times of on-site emergencies.
Complies with safety regulations and maintains clean and orderly work areas.
Follows company bio security protocol and ensures outside contractors follow bio security protocol.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
