Job Summary Coordinates all commercial printing jobs while supporting business activities through purchasing, inventory management, and recordkeeping. Ensures production schedules, material availability, and quality standards are aligned to meet customer and business deadlines. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be flexible with work schedule to meet deadlines.
  • Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office, including Windows and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • General knowledge of the printing process preferred.
  • Working knowledge of postal requirements preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate all incoming commercial printing jobs to assure information needed for the completion of the job is received and the job is written up in the appropriate manner.
  • Ensure all information needed for the completion of a job is received.
  • Establish and monitor the time allowed for each operation.
  • Ensure all information is correct to finish timely.
  • Coordinate the elements of quality control to ensure products are printed in compliance with quality printing standards.
  • Schedule jobs to ensure there is sufficient time to complete each project by deadline.
  • Work with estimating to use the most effective way to run jobs, including proper layout in prepress, press, and bindery.
  • Set target dates for each phase of the job based on established time allowed for each operation and the schedule of other jobs.
  • Coordinate with Sales Representatives, Customer Service Representatives, and/or customers to negotiate time frames if conflicts arise.
  • Responsible for ordering and/or allocating inventory on hand for all materials required to complete the print and/or mail projects.
  • Create purchase orders and track order status.
  • Schedule deliveries and coordinate with vendors as needed.
  • Responsible for inventory tracking and maintaining accurate purchase records.
