The Production Security Specialist II will serve as a security champion, actively supporting the continuous expansion of Rivian's security program. This role is the primary daily point of contact for the contracted security team, ensuring all physical security operations at the Manufacturing plant adhere to Rivian's established standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong bias for action, be highly dependable, and maintain consistent integrity. Operating with minimal supervision, they will regularly collaborate with key stakeholders to provide security guidance aimed at continuously mitigating risks.

Requirements

  • Integrity and professionalism
  • 7+ years of security, law enforcement, or military experience
  • Excellent customer service skills with a service-oriented personality
  • Self-motivated
  • A high degree of organization and prioritization
  • Ability to maintain situational awareness
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (formal training in verbal de- escalation preferred)
  • Competency in Google Docs, Drive, Sheets and security-related access control software
  • Ability to perform general duties while also adapting and responding to emerging needs
  • A positive attitude and attention to detail
  • 24/7 availability
  • Be 21 years or older with a valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in a related field of study preferred
  • Formal training in verbal de-escalation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Function independently, under pressure, and perform multiple tasks and duties with minimal direction or oversight.
  • Anticipate, recognize, and resolve deficiencies with little guidance or prompting.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the contracted guard force at all Rivian production locations to ensure strict adherence to Rivian processes.
  • Assume overall leadership of security operations in the absence or at the direction of production security management.
  • Contribute to the regular reviewing and updating of security processes and procedures.
  • Manage sensitive, high-level incidents that require the use of de-escalation skills and experience.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of Rivian’s policies and procedures.
  • Practice a customer service mindset in driving a culture of security awareness across the business.
  • Maintain positive relationships with all levels of staff, including Executive Leadership to Line Level Employees.
  • Assist with onsite events by performing additional security and administrative tasks as required.
  • Availability for on-call duties, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is required as needed.
  • Utilize diverse technological tools, such as mobile radios, cell phones, and various applications, for effective communication.
  • Other duties as determined by management
