About The Position

The position involves developing and maintaining production plans for the assigned area of SafranHE production operations. The role requires building plans that meet customer requirements while maintaining shop efficiencies. It also involves analyzing and rescheduling work orders to ensure output targets are consistently met, as well as developing 'what-if' scenarios to support un-forecasted output requirement variations. The individual will support ongoing efforts to reduce and control work in progress (WIP) and lead meetings with department managers to review production plans.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production plans for assigned area of SafranHE production operations.
  • Build plans to meet customer (external and internal) requirements and maintain shop efficiencies.
  • Work around capacity and material availability constraints.
  • Analyze and reschedule work orders to ensure output targets are met.
  • Develop 'what-if' scenarios and production scheduling options for un-forecasted output variations.
  • Support efforts to reduce and control WIP.
  • Lead meetings with department managers to review production plans.
  • Track and report daily production schedule and output.
  • Advise management of potential issues impacting schedule and output.
  • Create schedules to achieve production goals and meet customer commitments.
  • Coordinate development of the area Production Schedule with the Operations Manager.
  • Confer with operations personnel to resolve production schedule problems.
  • Manage and monitor slotting adherence and accuracy.
  • Maintain accurate WIP target goals and thru-puts.
  • Conduct conference calls with France to align Corporate Workload Balance.
  • Work closely with Customer Support to ensure KO assets are available for release.
  • Initiate and monitor recovery plans to meet production goals.
  • Expedite orders and schedules based on customer expectations.
  • Participate in daily production review meetings.
  • Propose changes to processes and procedures to improve efficiencies and on-time delivery.
  • Act as a liaison with engineering support during audits and routine shop support activities.
  • Manage or participate in internal investigations as directed by Quality department or management.
