About The Position

The Production Scheduler at ABB is responsible for generating and maintaining a detailed production schedule based on the production plan to optimize resource utilization and meet production specifications. This role involves daily monitoring of production capacity and material availability, as well as releasing manufacturing work orders. The position is crucial for ensuring adherence to production schedules and addressing any deviations effectively.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• Minimum one year of ordering or scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, percentages, etc.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining a detailed production schedule from the production plan.
• Executing daily, plant-level Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) to manage production requirements.
• Establishing sequence and lead time of each operation to meet shipment dates per the master schedule/plan.
• Monitoring schedule adherence and identifying root causes for deviations, taking follow-up improvement actions.
