The Production Scheduler performs functions directed towards successfully and efficiently meeting manufacturing goals for customer orders by providing batch setups, blending and packaging schedules for production. Essential Functions: -Scheduling of product batches for setups to each bulk, bulk/minors, and minors set up personnel; schedule to project into the following week. -Scheduling of product batches from setups to blending for each blender operator; schedule to project into the following week. -Scheduling of product batches from blending to packaging for each packaging line; schedule to project into the following week. -Daily communication with Customer Service, Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Quality Control personnel for the verification of availability of inventory items for scheduled orders and orders yet to be scheduled for production. -Daily revision to setups, blending, and packaging schedules as necessary. -Complying with established standards and expectations for product quality -Correlate raw material ingredients and packaging supplies -Knowledge of inventories and usage -Perform application of all work procedures, methods, and Company practices and policies as they relate to scheduling orders for production. -Assists in maintaining labor cost control by scheduling batches per set standards for setups, blending, and packing. -Performs other duties as requested. Qualifications: -High School or GED and/or minimum of 3 years of production work experience in a food manufacturing environment. -Additional 1-year customer orders scheduling experience. -Must successfully complete on-the-job training including being able to learn and apply knowledge of production processes, raw materials, and finished product requirements and specifications. - Working knowledge of Inventories and computerized load move data. -Verbal and written communication skills -Must be able to solve common problems in many concrete standard situations.
