The company is currently searching for a qualified Production Scheduler/Planner to manage paperboard procurement activities and schedule production within their plant, seeking an excellent team player with strong analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude.

Requirements

  • 3 years of experience, or equivalent experience.
  • Must possess strong analytical skills.
  • Must be able to multitask and possess strong time management skills.
  • Must be Proficient in Microsoft Office Products, with an emphasis on Excel.
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must possess excellent customer-service skills.
  • Experience in MRP/ERP systems.
  • Experience in FIFO and maintaining stocking levels.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize MRP to identify paperboard needs, enter Purchase Orders for material, and follow up with suppliers to confirm deliveries prior to scheduled production.
  • Escalate paperboard needs to the Corporate Material Supply Team as needed.
  • Create Sheeter Work Order instructions for the plant.
  • Ensure accuracy of Raw Material inventories.
  • Work with the plant IPR to resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Daily contact with various suppliers for current material delivery status, as schedule and customer demand changes.
  • Communicate with internal and external resources regarding paperboard transportation and delivery.
  • Partner with Production Departments to procure material to maximize equipment runs.
  • Identify obsolete and overages; maintain inventory levels for favorable Working Capital impact and communicate to Production Control Manager.
  • Identify uses for unallocated paperboard at the plant before it becomes aged.
  • Utilize unallocated paperboard located at other Graphic Packaging plants and warehouses.
  • Coordinate with the Continuous Improvement Dept on communications and corrective actions involving material quality issues with suppliers.
  • Identify obsolete materials and coordinate removal with the Material Supply Team.
  • Coordinate/Communicate paperboard timing with internal customer service reps.
  • Maintain up to date production schedule that aligns with our customers needs.
  • Schedule production to align with maintaining On Time/In Full production.
  • Participate in new and transfer business meetings.
