JOB SUMMARY The Production Scheduler will have a strong understanding of the production process and be able to generate and maintain effective daily, weekly, and monthly schedules. They will communicate and post schedules, solve production problems, seek to improve processes, and help fulfill company expectations to ensure deadlines are met by the committed date. They can be expected to play a major role in helping our company reach its Adherence/Attainment objectives.

Requirements

  • You have a Supply Chain degree or 3 to 5 years of relevant experience
  • You have strong proficiency and experience with scheduled planning in SAP
  • You have the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • You have the ability to create and understand reports to make production decisions.
  • You have a desire to promote the success of the organization and production and planning staff.
  • You have strong Excel skills
  • You have a willingness and ability to challenge data and drive results.
  • You are able to learn systems quickly.
  • You are able to analyze various data sets.

Responsibilities

  • You will perform all duties in accordance with company and site-specific safety policies and procedures.
  • You will create and maintain short term production schedules weekly and out months 1, 2 and 3
  • You will assign labor and resources in the most effective manner.
  • You will assist with updating current tools as plant moves from legacy planning system to SAP environment.
  • You will provide quick responses to production resource issues.
  • You will identify problems and help improve processes.
  • You will use available software to generate reports and schedules.
  • You will ensure that production deadlines are met.
  • Work with Production and Planning teams to develop realistic production plans.
  • Host Weekly/Monthly Supply Review meetings with management team.
  • Assist with scheduling design template to ensure seamless information transfer between systems.
  • Work closely with production and SAP teams to align on required master data for resources and labor.
  • Support the successful cleanse of master data prior to load.
  • Assist with report development using SAP data and Excel.
  • You will work with the planning department to understand the timing of components delivery.
