About The Position

The Production Scheduler is responsible for managing the production schedule to ensure the timely and efficient manufacturing of products. This role involves coordinating with various departments, including procurement, production, and quality assurance, to ensure that production goals are met and resources are used optimally; responsible for coordinating and expediting the flow of materials, parts, and assemblies between departments to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for short-term scheduling and execution of production activities.
  • Ensure the timely availability of materials, parts, and assemblies required for production.
  • Create detailed schedules for specific manufacturing tasks and operations on a daily and weekly basis. This will include all different departments of the manufacturing.
  • Adapt to changing conditions, such as equipment breakdowns, material shortages, or changes in customer orders, by adjusting schedules in real-time to minimize disruptions and maintain production efficiency.
  • Communicate and work closely with production supervisors, operators, and other personnel to ensure that schedules are effectively communicated and executed on the shop floor.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing to ensure timely availability of raw materials and components.
  • Monitor production progress and identify potential delays or issues.
  • Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the procurement department to reorder materials as needed.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on production status, schedule adherence, and any deviations from the plan.
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Address production scheduling conflicts and bottlenecks by working with relevant departments to find solutions.
