About The Position

Coordinate and optimize production of manufacturing machines by balancing customer needs with company resources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field
  • 0-2 years of professional work experience in customer service, order management, or logistics preferred
  • Ability to interact with multiple workgroups
  • Experience using a enterprise resource planning (ERP) and manufacturing execution (MES) systems
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Functional use of Microsoft Office. Math skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance priorities that meet short and long-term objectives; uses organized and efficient work methods.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and continue to develop knowledge and skills
  • Must have attention to detail and focused concentration
  • Must be able to make timely decisions in the contact of the workflow
  • Must possess strong organization skills, ability to multi-task and responsiveness

Responsibilities

  • Schedule production by optimizing trim solutions for efficiency and cost as well as customer service demands. Create detailed sequencing plans to minimize changeover time and maximize efficiency.
  • Monitor the manufacturing schedule and make changes as necessary to account for equipment downtime or order modifications to ensure customer delivery expectations are managed.
  • Coordinate with mill logistics department to balance manufacturing variables and transportation resources.
  • Analyze production capacity, order data, and forecasts to identify potential backlog concerns impacting sales service. Facilitate communication and order status reporting with the customer service department.
  • Utilize reports or other production metrics to report effectiveness of production scheduling.
  • Monitor inventory levels and assist mill logistics to optimize load planning and inventory levels.
  • Assist sales department in facilitating order needs to balance mill production schedules and customer mix.
  • Special projects and assignments as business dictates.
