The Role: The Production Scheduler will exercise independent discretion in overseeing inventory, logistics and supply planning responsibilities for assigned plants. They will maintain capacity plans, production schedules and/or finite schedules to ensure the efficient delivery of inventory, service and cost objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelors' degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Finance or related field preferred.
  • 2-4 years' experience in a production planning, production scheduling or materials management position preferred.
  • Candidate must possess strong analytical skills.
  • Team members must be clean shaven in order to perform tasks where respiratory protection is required and the use of a respirator (including N-95 dust mask) requires a proper seal for adequate protection.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of integrated planning software is also preferred.
  • Strong Excel skills preferred, development of analytical models in Excel or another spreadsheet software.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for production schedules at all assigned facilities to insure timely delivery of product to customers.
  • Accountable for successful collaboration with internal and external Customers and Suppliers to prioritize and deliver products and services that meet or exceed the business needs with attention to simplicity of design and ease of use/interaction.
  • Develop detailed understanding of manufacturing constraints and capabilities of the manufacturing locations being planned. Provide regular feedback.
  • Communicate with production facilities and Ardent Supply Chain team as well as Business Development, Sales, Marketing, Demand Planning and Customer Service. Keep all affected parties apprised of potential problems or issues impacting the business, including risks, opportunities, and solutions.
  • Utilize Ardent systems to proactively identify and communicate key drivers and proposed solutions to service any inventory issues.
  • Assess current inventory levels and forecasts to make appropriate independent business decisions that minimize costs and achieve corporate working capital and service level objectives.
  • Seamlessly interface with advanced levels of the organization to drive consensus on risks and opportunities and lead conversations around developing and implementing action plans.
  • Provide leadership and mentoring for supervisory staff, trainees and interns as required.
  • Coordinate logistics and material movements within the plant.
  • Adheres to plant safety training and guidelines
  • Some travel maybe required (5-10%)
