Why You’ll Love This Role: Be responsible for the day-to-day and week-to-week scheduling, execution, and stabilization of production activities within Sub Assembly production area. This role serves as the tactical execution counterpart to the Production Planner, translating mid- and long-range production plans into clear daily priorities and predictable shop-floor output. The Production Scheduler partners closely with the Material Coordinator to ensure material readiness, system accuracy, and disciplined execution aligned to production schedules. A critical component of this role is active participation in the launch, adoption, and sustained, correct use of the ERP system, specifically as it relates to scheduling, material visibility, execution tracking, and real-time production adjustments. The Production Scheduler is expected to reinforce standard work, support data integrity, and act as a bridge between system outputs and physical execution on the floor. Success in this role requires strong judgment, cross-functional influence, and execution leadership in a dynamic production environment, all in a manner that demonstrates “Everything is Important.”

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills, proficient in full suite of MS Office and ERP/MRP systems
  • 2 or more years of experience with material operations
  • Strong analytical, project management, computer, communication, and writing skills (typing, spelling, grammar)
  • Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to work independently, typically initiating own tasks without input/guidance from manager
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with diverse co-workers and personalities in engineering, production, and management; ability to have insight into their changing needs
  • Excellent communicator, both written and verbal; ability to express ideas clearly and actively listen to others
  • Team oriented, with a strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment to meet multiple deadlines
  • Excellent time management with an ability to balance multiple projects and timelines
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and collaborative skills with the ability to prioritize efficiently and effectively within and across departments

Nice To Haves

  • Bonus points for bachelor’s degree in supply chain/relevant field preferred or equivalent experience in material planning, inventory management or production coordination
  • Bonus points for experience in automotive, restoration, manufacturing and or assembly environments is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with functional work cells to ensure the flow and movement of material throughout production areas arrives safe and on time
  • Own daily and weekly production scheduling within the assigned department, translating production plans into clear, executable shop-floor priorities
  • Partner closely with the Material Coordinator to align material readiness, inventory accuracy, staging, and execution sequencing
  • Play a key role in the ERP system launch and ongoing usage, supporting adoption, reinforcing standard processes, and ensuring execution-level accuracy between system data and physical production
  • Serve as the primary point of coordination for real-time schedule adjustments driven by material constraints, rework, defects, or changing production conditions
  • Maintain scheduling discipline on the shop floor, ensuring technicians and leads have clear sequencing, priorities, and expectations
  • Identify execution risks early and drives timely escalation and resolution to minimize downstream disruption
  • Support workflow, layout, and staging optimization to improve throughput, organization, and predictability within the department
  • Track and report execution-level performance indicators, including schedule adherence, output stability, rework trends, and downtime drivers
  • Act as a process owner within the department, supporting standardization, continuous improvement, and reduction of variation in daily execution
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production Planning, Material Operations, Quality, Engineering, and other production areas to maintain flow and resolve constraints
  • Utilize and maintains shop-floor scheduling and execution tools (e.g., ERP outputs, Jira boards, visual management systems, ScanLogic) to ensure real-time visibility and accountability
  • Participate in strategic initiatives and special projects related to production scalability, ERP optimization, and operational maturity
