About The Position

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Production Scheduler & Materials Planner to support the efficient production and delivery of high-quality string instruments. This role is responsible for coordinating daily and weekly production schedules, monitoring materials and inventory needs, and partnering cross-functionally to ensure smooth workflow from start to finish. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years in production scheduling, materials planning, inventory, or manufacturing operations
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments
  • Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail
  • Ability to move and adjust objects up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
  • May work in a warehouse/manufacturing environment including noise, dust, and seasonal temperature changes

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite
  • Strong knowledge or understanding of orchestra musical instruments

Responsibilities

  • Create and manage daily and weekly production schedules to meet demand and delivery goals
  • Coordinate material availability and inventory planning, forecasting upcoming needs
  • Partner with Purchasing to ensure raw materials and components are available on time
  • Track inventory flow (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) to ensure accuracy and availability
  • Maintain clear, accurate records and reporting for production status, labor utilization, and materials usage
  • Support quality and inspection processes for instruments before and after production stages
  • Stage instruments and materials for production runs (pulling items, preparing paperwork, coordinating racks and workflow support)
  • Assist with documentation and process improvement related to inspections, returns, scheduling, and repair workflows
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards
