You will be responsible for driving premium production through accurate risk assessment, strategic partner engagement, and effective product distribution. The role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams including design, data, and operations to develop insurance products that meet broker and client needs. You will influence underwriting performance, provide actionable market insights, and represent the organization to brokers and industry events. Requirements

  • 3–8 years of underwriting experience in management or professional liability
  • Strong network of brokers, carriers, underwriters, or clients in relevant insurance sectors
  • Deep expertise in specialty liability products, including rating procedures, policy forms, and coverage endorsements
  • Proven ability to engage brokers and establish profitable, long-term partnerships
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrated track record of exceeding sales and account management targets
  • High comfort with working in a fast-paced environment and managing evolving challenges
  • Flexibility to travel as needed (minimum once per month)
  • College degree with relevant professional experience

Responsibilities

  • Achieve and exceed underwriting performance and revenue targets in line with established procedures
  • Price accounts efficiently and thoughtfully while adhering to underwriting guidelines
  • Manage broker communications, providing guidance and support on quotes and risk considerations
  • Collaborate with other risk engineers to evaluate complex account exposures
  • Provide feedback to improve product terms, rates, and policy forms
  • Bind accounts through continuous engagement with brokers and develop long-term partnerships
  • Represent the organization at broker meetings and industry events
  • Contribute insights and feedback to product development and tool enhancement initiatives
