About The Position
Empire Coating Inc is currently seeking a Production Racker to join our team. As a Production Racker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining quality, safety, and productivity through a hands-on approach. Specifically, the role focuses on following customer requirements to rack parts in preparation for subsequent processes such as anodize or paint. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in manufacturing, as no previous experience is required. Our experienced team members will provide training to ensure you are well-equipped to succeed in this role. In this position, you will be responsible for racking and unracking parts, which involves placing or hanging metal parts on racks to prepare them for various finishing processes, such as plating, anodizing, powder coat, or wet paint. After processing, you will also be tasked with unracking parts and removing any masking materials. Quality control is a significant aspect of this role; you will inspect parts before and after the finishing process to ensure they meet quality standards and report any defects or non-conformances to supervisors. Additionally, you will package completed parts by following customer specifications, prints, and guidelines to ensure proper packing. Monitoring job progress is essential, and you will utilize a computer system to track job progress and scan in and out of jobs. Safety compliance is paramount, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety regulations, especially when working with chemicals, tools, or other equipment. This role also includes operating, maintaining, and cleaning manufacturing equipment and your work area. Empire Coating Inc is Western New York's leading coating applicator, established in 1989.
