About The Position

This position will serve as a production or packaging line leader by providing support to the Operations Supervisor by leading all day-to-day activity associated with running any and all production or packaging equipment within an assigned area. This position is responsible for: Ensuring that all routine regulatory checks are complete; Maintaining all appropriate production data and recording all ingredient transactions properly in ERP and reporting to the Supervisor when any condition exists that prevents these duties from being carried out; Set-up and clean-up all equipment at the beginning and end of shifts. Other duties include; coordinating the team job rotations and break schedule; Communicating to employees any lastminute changes or expectations for the day; Communicating labor shortages to supervisors, and help develop solutions to overcome these obstacles; Following FDA and Quality Control Regulations; Immediately reporting equipment, ingredient or employee relations issues to management; Troubleshooting production issues and provide feedback and ideas for solutions; Participating in writing of OIF's, root cause problem solving, 5S improvements, and other lean activities. Candidate must be willing to work in cold temperatures of -10 degrees, dust, noise, wet floors and potential slippery conditions, and must be willing to individually lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds regularly throughout a shift and be willing to climbing ladders. In addition, this position may be expose to fumes or airborne particles, and noise levels that exceed 85dBL. Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a valid forklift/Powered Industrial Truck license. This position requires basic computer skills in order to be able to utilize ERP system (scan and enter ingredients and quantities used into computer using handheld scanners and keyboarding). Candidate must be able to communicate with employees at all levels of the plant, and effective completion of required forms. This position will include Lock Out Tag Out responsibilities for safe operation. Candidate must be able to work all shifts.

Requirements

  • Candidate must be willing to work in cold temperatures of -10 degrees, dust, noise, wet floors and potential slippery conditions
  • Candidate must be willing to individually lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds regularly throughout a shift and be willing to climbing ladders
  • Candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a valid forklift/Powered Industrial Truck license
  • This position requires basic computer skills in order to be able to utilize ERP system (scan and enter ingredients and quantities used into computer using handheld scanners and keyboarding)
  • Candidate must be able to communicate with employees at all levels of the plant, and effective completion of required forms
  • A High School Diploma, GED or equivalent is required
  • One year of experience or more leading workplace teams
  • All job offers are based on the conditions that the candidate can provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States and pass a urinalysis screening, which is part of the post-offer health assessment
  • Candidate must be at least 18 years of age
  • Candidate must be able to work all shifts
