About The Position

Deerfield Media (Baltimore), Inc. is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Producer/Editor to manage projects from concept to completion. This role involves ensuring high-quality content that aligns with the brand's vision, effective communication with stakeholders, and managing timelines to deliver compelling media that resonates with the audience.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in a TV or video production environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in non-linear editing is required (Adobe Premiere Pro preferred).
  • Experience with other Adobe Creative Suite software (Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with DSLR cameras and/or cinematography cameras, videography, and creative lighting techniques is required.
  • Ability to maintain a variety of projects and work with varying production styles while employing strong client service skills.
  • A strong understanding of fundamental design, sense of color, typography, composition, and motion graphics in a post-production environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of the post-production process, including media management and encoding video to various formats, and preparing for broadcast and streaming.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work both independently and with a team.
  • A valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
  • Willingness to be flexible with work schedule.
  • The ability to routinely lift, carry, and move equipment in excess of 40 lbs.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in journalism (2 years preferred).

Responsibilities

  • Direct and shoot PSAs and local commercials in studio and on location.
  • Coordinate, produce, and participate in remote shoots, including grip, lighting, second camera, and audio duties.
  • Edit all projects using Adobe Cloud production software (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator, etc.).
  • Prepare graphics, footage, and other assets for projects.
  • Operate studio equipment including lights, cameras, and chromakey walls.
  • Assist with guest coordination for the Lifestyle show.
  • Format and distribute final projects to necessary departments.
  • Produce and prepare social media content as assigned.
  • Assist other departments with editing responsibilities as assigned.
  • Attend department meetings and station-sponsored activities as requested.
  • Perform corporate responsibilities, including occasional administrative work.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.
