About The Position

The Production Planning Manager at Clarus Glassboards LLC is responsible for overseeing the production planning and optimization processes within the operations department. This role involves generating weekly production schedules, aligning various operational assets, and managing production planning tools to ensure efficient supply, production, and logistics operations. The manager will also analyze production requirements based on plant capacity and specifications to meet customer delivery expectations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; degree in Production, Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain, or a Technical degree preferred.
  • 3 years of prior planning/scheduling experience in a high-volume production/manufacturing environment.
  • Practical knowledge of plant operations, cycle times, and processing lead times.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP systems, specifically NetSuite.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the overall execution of the production plan and scheduling process.
  • Generate production schedules and perform analysis to align with operations and manufacturing.
  • Lead and manage daily, weekly, monthly, and annual production planning processes.
  • Expedite and monitor the progress of jobs released to the production floor.
  • Generate, communicate, and track performance metrics such as Schedule Attainment and On-Time Delivery.
  • Collaborate with the Procurement department to address material shortages in the planning process.
  • Maintain and improve planning and scheduling tools for increased accuracy and performance.
  • Develop production schedules based on demand forecasts and resource allocation.
  • Work closely with Sales, Operations, and Production Departments to implement product planning processes.
