The Planning Manager is responsible for building and leading a scalable, data-driven planning function that ensures backlog execution, production alignment, shipment forecasting, and operational readiness across a across a high mix manufacturing environment defined by high product complexity, low volume runs, frequent changeovers, and elevated scrap risk in our Manchester and Hooksett facilities. This role owns planning system maturity, capacity modeling, ERP discipline, backlog segmentation, and cross-functional execution alignment to enable on-time delivery, working capital control, and sustainable growth. The Planning Manager installs and maintains structure, visibility, and accountability into the planning process while executing proactively, and ensuring planning sophistication scales ahead of business growth and demand volatility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field
  • 7+ years of manufacturing planning experience
  • Experience supporting ERP implementation and/or advanced planning systems preferred
  • Advanced data-driven decision-making, systems-level thinking, and problem-solving capability.
  • Advanced Excel capability (including complex formulas, Power Query, and data modeling) required; experience transitioning Excel-based processes into ERP/system-based workflows preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in capacity modeling and production planning
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of ERP planning architecture, including master data structure, routing logic, BOM integrity, capacity parameters, and end-to-end information flow.
  • Success with continuous improvements in ERP process flow from order entry through shipment confirmation.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams
  • Experience in high-mix manufacturing environment required
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to translate data into operational decisions
  • Project leadership experience (ERP, systems, or process implementation)
  • Attention to details and accuracy
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with co-workers and other department personnel where English is second language.
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate in English
  • Ability to stand and move around production facility for extended period of time if needed
  • Ability to sit at a desk and conduct computer work for extended periods of time if needed.
  • Ability to wear Safety attire or protective gear on a daily basis.
  • Ability to bend, move between equipment, and aisles of product
  • Ability to travel occasionally, < 20%, to other business units
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
