Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (BA) required. Master’s degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 4 years of related work experience is required.
  • Bilingual (Spanish & English) is required.
  • Demonstrate leadership, skills as a team player, driving value-added results and establishing credibility throughout the organization and with suppliers and customers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Requires proven leadership, teamwork, initiative, creativity, people and assertiveness skills.
  • Knowledge of all aspects of materials management, production planning, delivery and inventory control.
  • Experience & knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Preferred at least 6 years of supply chain/operations, medical device experience in a regulatory environment and knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Preferred 6 years’ experience in a World Class Manufacturing Environment.
  • 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Availability to work various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or 12-hour daily shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Certified in production and inventory management (CPIM) or certified in supply chain planning (CSCP) is desirable.
  • Green belt certification preferred.
  • Process Excellence/Six Sigma Certification and/or Continuous Process Improvement Training.
  • Process Excellence certification or proven working knowledge, a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily processes in moving the material flow in support of an optimized cycle time metric.
  • Provide direction and leadership for supply chain, materials and inventory planning and delivery.
  • Exhibit positive leadership traits with ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Interface with both internal and external customers, suppliers, vendors and other sites globally.
  • Foster good communications, teamwork and supports total associate involvement.
  • Coordinate and drive resolution of technical issues within the Supply Chain and coordinate issue resolution through project planning and escalation.
  • Establish new process procedures and practices using process excellence tools to improve operational performance.
  • Manages available resources to achieve a reliable, efficient and productive operation.
  • Identify and lead activities in the areas of responsibilities to develop and implement programs of continuous improvement, cost reduction, and total associate involvement.
  • Assist the Plant materials Manager in the preparation of the Annual Department Budget.
  • Maintain site policies and procedures and material control systems in accordance with Global Supply Chain goals.
  • Perform other work-related duties as assigned by manager or leader of the area.
  • Assures compliance to Company’s and Corporate rules, and regulations.
  • Assures compliance with good manufacturing practices, International Standards Organization (ISO), Safety/Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) and any other Environmental regulations, also Good Housekeeping and Ergonomics Company policies.
  • Fosters and enforces compliance with the Quality Policy and the Plant’s Vision.
  • Comply with all environmental, safety and occupational health policies (i.e., ISO14001 & OSHAS 18001.
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level.
  • For those who supervise or manage a staff, responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable.
  • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Performs other duties assigned as needed.
