About The Position

The
Production Planning Associate is responsible for supporting the
implementation and maintenance of the daily production schedule. This position
is self-sufficient with a strong desire to take initiative.
This position develops and implements production schedules to achieve company-wide
sales/performance goals. This position also assists with material application
and aged inventory by applying sheets, plates, and parts to orders per
divisional strategy.

Requirements

• Associate degree or related experience
• 2+ years of experience in steel manufacturing
• Skilled at organizing and multi-tasking
• Ability to communicate effectively written and verbally
• 1+ year of experience with production scheduling or planning

Nice To Haves

• Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Access databases)
• Intermediate Excel application
• Production planning or scheduling in a manufacturing environment
• Previous successful experience multitasking and prioritizing daily work independently, to meet customer demands (internal and external)
• Steel service center experience. Knowledgeable with carbon steel sheet and plate products.
