About The Position
The position involves receiving, reviewing, and extrapolating weekly reports from H-D and Polaris in coordination with the Production Manager to address any issues or concerns. The role is focused on driving production needs for the week and making necessary changes to the production schedule. Key responsibilities include coordinating production flow, particularly in e-coat and polish, as well as warehouse and shipping operations. The individual will work closely with the In-Process Supervisor to achieve desired production levels throughout the facility and collaborate with management across various areas to meet monthly production goals. Additionally, the role includes scheduling outbound shipments to H-D and Polaris facilities and coordinating these shipments with the Warehouse Manager. The position requires effective communication with team members at H-D and Polaris to discuss production progress and any adjustments or issues that arise. Management of the Production Tracker in RPM 5 is also a key responsibility, ensuring accurate data is maintained at each production step. The individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate floor counts (WIP) and holding the warehouse team accountable for finished goods and raw counts. Monitoring WIP on the production floor to prevent overcrowding and assisting the Production Manager in identifying potential production flow issues are also essential tasks. The role includes creating packaging procedures and collaborating with the Production Manager to send package sketch forms to H-D and Polaris. Monitoring the production output of Gunslinger and addressing any concerns with the Production Manager, as well as assisting various teams to achieve production goals, are also part of the job. Coordination with the procurement administrator to ensure necessary materials are available for production is required, along with other duties as assigned.
