About The Position

The Manufacturing Production Planning Analyst develops and manages the production schedule to meet customer demand, optimize production flow, and minimize inventory investment. This role proactively improves planning and scheduling processes, partners with cross-functional teams, and uses planning tools to drive on-time delivery and operational efficiency at the Timken Aurora Bearing plant.

Requirements

  • Prefer bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least three years of experience in production planning, manufacturing operations, or a similar role.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in production planning software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain detailed production schedules to ensure on-time delivery while maximizing throughput and minimizing inventory costs.
  • Produce demand forecasts and inventory plans using historical production data and market trends.
  • Collaborate with production, procurement, quality, and sales to align production plans with business objectives.
  • Identify production bottlenecks and inefficiencies; recommend and implement process improvements.
  • Monitor KPIs and prepare reports to track production performance and highlight opportunities for improvement.
  • Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand, reduce excess stock, and prevent production disruptions.
  • Implement and maintain production planning systems and tools (Epicor) to improve process efficiency and data accuracy.
