About The Position

The Production Planner at Jennie-O Turkey Store is responsible for planning all finished good production within the Pelican Rapids facility. This role includes ordering and ensuring the plant has raw materials ahead of the production schedule. The planner will work with plant operations to ensure the plant is scheduled efficiently to minimize costs while ensuring optimal case fill percentage and mitigating any distressed product. Additionally, the planner will provide metrics, reporting, and recommendations on SKU Management, along with other duties assigned based on current business needs.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in one or combined areas of Plant operations, Transportation, Logistics, Production Scheduling, Distribution or Supply Chain experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability.
• Strong Interpersonal skills and well developed written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to adapt to a changing environment.
• Have strong process orientation skills.
• Strong skills working with AS400 and query writing ability/experience.
• Strong skills in Excel spreadsheets.
• A pattern of initiative and leadership.
• Good organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task.
• Able to work some Saturdays when required.
