About The Position

The Production Planner will play a crucial role in optimizing production plans and schedules, coordinating resources, and ensuring timely completion of manufacturing processes. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in operations management, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • 0-2+ years of working experience in production management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate production schedules clearly and concisely.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience in production planning, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production planning principles and methodologies.
  • Proficiency in production scheduling software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Epicor) for generating and managing production schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain production plans for assigned manufacturing lines, balancing demand and inventory against capacity realities to determine volume and timing.
  • Create and maintain detailed production schedules and coordinate daily management of the execution of this schedule.
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods, and coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure adequate supply to support downstream production schedules and customer deliveries.
  • Collaborate closely with production managers, team leads, and procurement staff to coordinate manpower, equipment, and materials required for production activities.
  • Track production progress, identify deviations from the schedule, and take proactive measures to address delays or bottlenecks to maintain on-time delivery.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to determine impact of planning decisions and correct course, as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate production schedules, priorities, and changes to production leads, supervisors, customer service, and relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and clarity.
  • Maintain manufacturing master data accuracy, ensuring that settings accurately reflect operating parameters and manufacturing realities.
