As a Production Planner you will be responsible for the planning and execution of scheduling activities necessary to meet Stephen Gould’s supply chain, inventory, and production goals. The role is to work closely with clients, and internal teams to best meet client needs. If you like supporting an innovative business and product solutions including, but not limited to processing and entering specs into our ERP and feel a sense of responsibility for providing support through the processing of daily transactions that support logistics of supplies critical to support the sales of Stephen Gould offerings, this job is for you! Communication, detail orientation, multitask oriented, accountability, self-motivation, and time management are key to success. This role is responsible for working directly with clients and sales teams and closely coordinating with various branch and corporate teams. You will have a dotted reporting line to the Sales Manager and report to the branch Office Manager.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related production planning experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, economics or other related field
  • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system knowledge for core supply chain, manufacturing, services, financial and other processes of an organization highly preferred.
  • High Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and virtual communication and collaboration tools – such as Microsoft Teams, Webex and Zoom
  • Experience in a corporate sales and service environment is preferred
  • Ability to think analytically, apply sound judgment, and solve problems
  • Attention to detail and service oriented
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks at a time to meet delivery deadlines
  • Strong communication skills with both front office staff and warehouse staff
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures
  • Must work well independently and be self-motivated

Responsibilities

  • Use our ERP tool to manage production work releases
  • Schedule/reschedule production
  • Place major emphasis on meeting customer requirements
  • Prioritization of production orders in alignment with sales demand
  • Update and provide open order and scheduling reports
  • Close work orders in production to update inventory.
  • Facilitate communication between front office, sales workforce and supply chain teams.
  • Other duties as assigned
