About The Position

As a Production Planner, you will be responsible for organizing production according to demand and quality standards. Your primary goal will be to ensure that goods are produced on time for distribution in a profitable manner. An excellent candidate for this role will have a solid understanding of production procedures and ways to optimize them. Being organized, results-driven, and possessing strong problem-solving skills are essential. Advanced communication and computer skills will also be highly beneficial.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a planner with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent knowledge of planning and quality control principles.
  • Experience in MRP II (Manufacturing Resource Planning).
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
  • Proficiency in blueprint/technical specification reading.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Good at math and statistics.
  • High school diploma; further education or certification is preferred.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain various manufacturing plans, Bills of Materials, and work instructions to define and document as-built configuration.
  • Coordinate production workflow for one or multiple products.
  • Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.
  • Determine manpower, equipment, and raw materials needed to meet production demand.
  • Assign workers and other staff to specific production operations.
  • Monitor jobs to ensure they finish on time and within budget.
  • Address issues as they arise, aiming for minimum disruption.
  • Keep paperwork organized.
  • Collaborate with quality control, warehouse, and other staff.
  • Perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
