For more information, please visit https://www.callawaygolf.com JOB OVERVIEW This position is responsible for the management of daily flow of material and information across CGBO in support of Manufacturing, Sales, and Inventory objectives to maintain timely deliveries of products to customers. This position will collaborate with Supply Planning, Inventory Control, Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Maintenance to ensure that production goals by work center are maintained on time. The Production Scheduler is responsible for coordinating line-level schedule throughout the factory.

  • High degree of initiative and ownership, attention to detail, and the discipline to follow through on assigned tasks.
  • General knowledge of industry practices, standards, and techniques.
  • Will be required to regularly apply scheduling, planning and control principles and concepts in execution of duties.
  • Ability to develop solutions to a variety of problems of large to very large scope and complexity, often creating or revising company or departmental policies in the process.
  • Ability to work well with, and in many cases lead, others in a cross-functional team environment.
  • Must be capable of managing several priorities effectively and be able to identify and recommend best course of action from several alternatives.
  • Must have ability to understand financial impact of decisions.
  • Must demonstrate hands on experience in implementing and/or using ERP and related computer systems and technologies in areas of Demand Planning, MPS, RCCP, MRP, SFC, APS, Logistics and Inventory Management.
  • Experienced in working in Manufacturing Plant environments.
  • Ability to understand priority needs of the company and adjust when necessary or when directed.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in field relevant to job description (e.g. Operations, Materials Management, Industrial Engineering), or equivalent job experience.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Production Planning or related field.
  • Computer experience required / Excel / Word experience preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experienced in Project Management techniques/planning and managing launches of new products a plus.
  • SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Will continuously create, manage, and maintain production plan to enable excellent communications across all factory departments, coordinating product availability and manufacturing process capability to ensure the plan’s successful and accurate execution.
  • Collaborate with Senior Planner to align schedule to Monthly Production Plan and monitor progress weekly.
  • Will support the Supply Chain Department in continuous process improvement efforts, with the intent of improving the flow of materials from the supply base to our customers, along with other analysis and/or projects on an as needed basis.
  • Work with Maintenance to schedule planned PM activities.
  • Managing ramp-up plans as they relate to the manufacturing strategy, labor planning, and new product development.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis with cross-functional teams to deliver short-term recovery plans and sustainable corrective actions in response to inventory shortages and discrepancies.
  • Other responsibilities include the generation of Planned vs. Actual reporting of production schedule, identifying main root causes for disparities along with periodic review of Master Schedule to thoroughly understand the global manufacturing strategy, and ensure that the daily production is in fact a reflection of such.
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on all departments’ performance, verify shipping calendar deliveries to ensure on time shipment, monitor production orders for anomalies and errors, and communicate sales order inventory shortages to Supply Chain and management.
  • Performs special assignments as requested.
