About The Position

A metal fabrication manufacturing company located in Spokane Valley, WA is currently hiring for a Production Planner. The company is looking for someone who has prior manufacturing industry experience and someone who can interpret mechanical drawings/blueprints. This is a great opportunity with a stable growth opportunity. There will be some administrative/clerical components to this opportunity, so the company is looking for someone who is presentable, professional, and eager to learn. The opportunity will be 100% onsite in Spokane Valley, WA for a 6-month Contract-To-Hire. Applicants must be located around Spokane, WA for consideration, as this opportunity is 100% onsite Pay - $23/hr. - $26/hr. (Depending on overall relevant qualifications, industry, skills, etc.) Location - Spokane Valley, WA Schedule - 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM PST; Monday - Friday Contract Duration - 6 Month Contract To Hire W2 Employment Through Aston Carter

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing or metal fabrication industry.
  • Basic knowledge of reading/interpreting mechanical drawings/blueprints (non-negotiable; must have it mentioned on the resume).
  • Detail-oriented with close attention to accuracy.
  • Computer proficiency and ability to learn additional software (Microsoft Suite, ERP, etc.).
  • Comfortability submitting to a drug test upon hire, which includes testing for THC.

Nice To Haves

  • Any understanding of AutoCAD or SolidWorks is a big plus, but not required.
  • Prior experience partnering closely with the engineering team is a big plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Daily duties include processing drawing packages within an ERP software system.
  • Compiling PDF drawing packages, printing drawing packages, which will be supplied to the shop for fabrication.
  • Work closely with the procurement team/shop personnel to ensure correct materials arrive in a timely manner.
  • Follow both general-purpose, defined rules and situation-specific guidelines when developing work instructions.
  • Produce complete, accurate, and timely work instructions.
  • Continuously update data within the corporate software to provide accurate and up-to-date information.
  • Schedule and coordinate operational activities.
  • Ability to read company orders, determine material needs, and set up requirements.
