About The Position

The Production Planner manages the ERP system to support the company's manufacturing programs. This role utilizes the ERP Planning System to provide the business with the most responsive and customer-driven manufacturing schedule possible. The Production Planner is responsible for Material Resource Planning and must be knowledgeable and interactive with all planned operations as well as key business functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret business, professional, technical or governmental documents.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, customers and the public.
  • Ability to conduct many types of mathematical problems including the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Strong computer related skills including familiarization with word processing, spreadsheet, and MRP/ERP software.

Responsibilities

  • Create New Part numbers, Bills of Material, Work Centers, and Routings in ERP Database (NetSuite)
  • Maintain ERP Database (NetSuite) in collaboration with NetSuite SME.
  • Prioritize and Schedule shop output in collaboration with Assembly (Build) schedule to meet monthly revenue goals.
  • Create and Maintain Shop Orders (manufacturing orders) to execute the production plan as agreed to in Sales and Operations Planning.
  • Participate in Monthly Sales and Operations Planning meetings to develop and execute business goals (forecast).
  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures for all planning and work order processes.
