About The Position

The Production Planner at Oneida Air Systems is responsible for managing the production scheduling process, ensuring that production requirements are met while maintaining inventory levels. This role involves coordinating production schedules, troubleshooting discrepancies, and communicating updates to management. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in production planning and a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, working in a fast-paced environment to meet production targets.

Requirements

• 3+ years' experience as a production control specialist, production scheduler, or production planner in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in use of MRP / ERP systems (Macola preferred).

Nice To Haves

• Experience applying lean manufacturing concepts and Kanban system.
• Prior inventory control experience.
• Prior experience with bookkeeping or accounting.
• High attention to detail.
• Positive and team-oriented personality.

Responsibilities

• Determine production requirements and maintain inventory levels.
• Coordinate production schedules to meet delivery deadlines.
• Troubleshoot inventory and labor discrepancies.
• Update MRP data and communicate production status updates to managers.
• Manage all phases of manufacturing including order release and fulfillment.
• Review sales inquiries/orders to commit ship dates based on lead-times and material availability.
• Generate and release shop floors to the production floor according to sales order needs.
• Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages and minimize excess inventory.
• Maintain the electronic and physical Kanban card systems.
• Execute end of day processes to close out shop floors and complete reporting.
