About The Position

The Production Planner is responsible for preparing schedules and ensuring the timely completion of work orders for manufacturing processes. This role involves analyzing product demand, sales patterns, and production specifications to optimize production efficiency and meet customer needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
• 4-6 years of experience in production planning or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares schedules and ensures timely completion of work orders for manufacturing processes.
• Analyzes product demand, sales patterns, forecasts, production specifications, and plant capacity data.
• Identifies raw material and component requirements for production from engineering and production specifications.
• Reviews support documents for scheduling, including ordering route sheets and entering all requirements into the computer.
• Monitors planning modules or production planning systems with current lead times and related information.
• Establishes effective communication with various groups such as customers, sales offices, and plant production departments.
• Monitors orders from start to finish to ensure the on-time delivery of products.
• Reviews capacity loads and identifies possible manufacturing constraints.
• Monitors and anticipates production issues due to capacity and new product launches.
• Expedites and secures parts needed for production.
• Ensures timely ordering and delivery of components to support manufacturing activities.
• Prepares production reports.
• Analyzes month-end activity to determine the need for forecast modification and recommends revisions.
• Participates in new product launch meetings and assists in developing new product forecasts and production schedules.
• Plans, prepares, issues, and controls production schedules and material requirements to ensure a controlled flow of approved materials.
