About The Position

The Production Planner role at Flex is essential for supporting the manufacturing process by ensuring that materials and production functions are effectively coordinated. This position is responsible for planning, scheduling, and approving product releases based on material and capacity availability, ultimately contributing to the company's growth and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP System.
• Demonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding of functional standards.
• Ability to operate data entry and office software including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation packages, and database systems.
• Ability to read and analyze information and write reports and work instructions.
• Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, suppliers, and customers.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Review schedule for proper supplier inventory load vs commit.
• Ensure sufficient material is available to support production.
• Lead discussions with suppliers on material availability.
• Follow through on supplier shortages.
• Set up part numbers & part pricing within MRP (BaaN) system.
• Ensure accurate, up-to-date records of inventory in stockroom and daily operations; complete necessary forms or paperwork for documentation.
• Monitor and proactively address issues that impact performance to committed ship date (CSD), lead-time, response time with suppliers.
• Represent Order Management on various Customer Focus Teams.
• Review production schedules and related information and confer with purchasing to determine adequacy of raw materials.
