The Position As the Production Planner/Specialist, you will join a specialized production planning team spread across three countries, working together to ensure our diagnostic instruments reach the people who need them most. In this role, your primary customers are Global Supply Chain for Instruments and Global Spare Parts Management. In this communicative and analytical role, you will bring in a positive mindset and a genuine curiosity to connect with and learn from colleagues both on-site and all over the world. The Opportunity Master Production Scheduling (MPS): Align the high-level production plan with global forecasts to ensure long-term stability. Detailed Scheduling: Coordinate directly with the shop floor to (re-)schedule work orders based on priorities, capacity and material availability. Material Requirements Planning (MRP): Balance inventory levels, availability and efficiency of material needs with the Buying team as a key stakeholder. Lifecycle Management: Handle planning for the full product lifecycle: New product introductions, active series production, and the transition to end-of-life. System Integrity: Maintain and audit planning parameters within the system to ensure data accuracy. Process Evolution: Participate in global projects to improve ways of working across the ION network. Who You Are You are a data-driven planner who enjoys solving complex puzzles and building relationships across different cultures.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in production planning, logistics, inventory control, or purchasing.
  • Bachelor's Degree. 6+ years of experience is accepted in place of a Bachelor's degree.
  • Analytical Power: An analytics skillset and mindset are essential. You must be able to distill and interpret data to make informed planning decisions.
  • Technical Must-Haves: Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills and previous experience with SAP PP or SAP MM are mandatory.
  • Communication: Excellent English skills. You should be naturally curious and eager to collaborate with a diverse, international team.

  • Future-Ready: Experience or interest in AI skills is highly helpful as we continue to modernize our planning tools.
